Chicken 65


This is an authentic and delicious Hyderabadi cuisine.It is the symbol of machoism denoting eating most chillies.

  1. 400 gms chicken with bone but preferably boneless
  2. 2 tbsp curd
  3. 2 tbsp tomato ketchup
  4. 2 tbsp lemon juice
  5. 1 tsp red chilli powder
  6. 4 tsp chicken 65 curry paste
  7. 1 tsp coriander powder
  8. 1 tsp jeera powder
  9. 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
  10. 1 small onion paste(optional)
  11. 1 tsp ginger paste
  12. 1/2 tsp garlic paste
  13. 1/2 tsp chopped garlic
  14. 1 tbsp cornflour
  15. 1 tsp flour
  16. 1 pinch orange red food colour
  17. 3 tbsp oil
  18. 1 tbsp fried curry leaves
  19. To taste salt
  20. 1/2 cup water
  21. 7-8 slit green chillies

Steps


  1. Marinate chicken pieces with salt,black pepper powder,lemon juice, curd and tomato ketchup for 3-4 hours or preferably overnight.Add ginger and garlic paste and microwave for 5 minutes or till chicken is soft.Make a batter of cornflour, maida, garlic paste,salt,orange red food colour.Dip the chicken pieces in the batter and fry them in batches.Set aside.In the remaining oil fry few curry leaves and set aside.Fry chopped garlic and add the curry paste or the masalas alongwith ginger garlic paste, red chillipowder.Now add the fried chicken along with the leftover juices while microwaving chicken.Toss in the leftover cornflour batter,green chillies and fried curry leaves.Serve with lemon rice,jeera rice, roti,paratha or simply as a starter.
